AI has a real energy and hardware cost. Promi's design goal is to avoid using more compute than a task needs and to reuse capable hardware where that makes sense.
Routine tasks should not automatically invoke the largest model if a smaller one can do the job reliably.
Compatible PCs and mini PCs can become part of a private AI setup instead of requiring a new device for every user.
Local, cloud, and hybrid processing can be chosen based on capability, privacy, latency, and efficiency.
